The National NAACP turns 100 this year. We have been in existence since 1909, securing victories in the struggle for justice and equality in America. The men and women who started the NAACP on February 12th 1909 were united not by color but by cause. As we celebrate a century of "Making Democracy Work" we are challenged by today's injustices and economic crises. Our forefathers came together and created an agency for change. We realize our efforts will be in vain and cannot be accomplished without you. We are striving to recruit 100 new members to help continue the fight. The Reading Branch NAACP continues to lead the way and undertake the tasks that change lives. What can you do?  If your membership is expiring - please renew. If you have never been a part of the NAACP now is the time to take up the torch and be a path lighter. Once you are a member, be an active member.
