What is your first memory of the NAACP: My first memories of the NAACP date back to the 1960's and the Civil Rights movement.
How are you involved with your local branch: I serve as the Chair Person for the Health Committee and I also sit on the branch Executive Committee
What might someone be suprised to know about you? I am into gardening and from the Spring to Fall I raise my own produce. I also pick strawberries, blueberries, and peaches during the summer. I will harvest enough to last the entire year.
What do you do in your free time? I my spare time I follow a dance circuit and I also speed walk and strength train at a local gym. My favorite thing however is to visit my grandchildren.
Why should someone join the Reading Branch? I believe if you want to work to improve the quality of life in your community you must get involved. Your local NAACP branch has a number of committees that are designed to help bring about change in the community. Join today and help us make a difference in Reading and Berks County.
